I am a competitive runner, and have had covered many miles in this body of mine! It has, as a result had some aches and pains along the way which have effected my performance. I had been going to various Physios and getting some acupuncture to try and keep myself right, but I have never found anything to complement my whole body as Amatsu has.

Since receiving Amatsu treatments my racing times have improved considerably. I was this year the National 50k Champion in a time of 4 hrs 4 mins, I have run my best Marathon time, and I have received a national Cross Country medal. Amatsu has also helped me to recover from a displaced metatarsal break and get back to race running quickly. As Amatsu does not only focus on fixing one area, but on your whole body and all its organs, I feel it has been a huge help to me both in my everyday work and as an athlete.

In December 2010 it was my misfortune to fall in the snow. Crossing the road that was like a sheet of ice, down I fell putting my hand out to save myself. Snap! I could see by the deformity that I had damaged my wrist and hand.

I had surgery and my arm was placed in a back slab. This was replaced with a plaster of paris after a week. It was in place for 5 weeks and I was never comfortable in it as both sides of my wrist were damaged, also the joint was fractured where the dislocation was. My wrist was still very deformed, movement very limited and there was no feeling from the tip of my middle and ring finger to my wrist. It was also very swollen and black and yellow from bruising. I immediately began with physiotherapy as prescribed by the surgeon. I had to take a lot of painkillers every time after a treatment. I was making no progress and started having acupuncture as well. The Doctor that I was having the acupuncture with advised that the type of physiotherapy that I was having was too severe and it should be revised. I was not able to change gear, so couldn't drive the car. I couldn't play golf which I normally did twice a week. I could not do Yoga. Housework was out with both hands but I did wonders with one! Another couple of weeks of this and I decided to give Amatsu a try. I have never looked back. My Practitioner gently relieved the pain and after a few treatments the feeling began to come back into my fingers. The impact of the fall had affected more of my body than I had realised. These areas were soon detected by my Practitioner and all my injuries eased. It did take time and quite a few treatments but I could feel the improvement from the first session that I had! I am now back at Yoga, playing golf sometimes 4 times a week and as much housework as I can fit in. I have injured my knee since but immediately had an Amatsu treatment and two days later - perfect! I have no problem in recommending people try Amatsu and have already sent my two daughters who have old injuries and both have improved. I have also sent my friend who had nerve damage post mastectomy.

Although I am an Amatsu practitioner myself, I would like to share my experience as a patient and how brilliantly the Amatsu tool kit worked on me.

I had been having back pain for more than a year but it deteriorated in the last two weeks and the pain became so intense that it locked my body in a way that meant I was bed-ridden, unable to dress myself or carrying out basic moves. I was able to test myself to see if it was a disc problem which turned out not to be the case but I was unable to identify the cause. Over time, I had tried various Western and Eastern healing methods (e.g. meditation techniques, chi gong, acupuncture treatment with cupping and tui na, painkillers, heat patches) but unfortunately none of them worked for or on me. I asked my Amatsu tutor to give me a balance. After the initial assessment she told me that my diaphragm had locked up and pulled my lumbar spine so it caused me pain and the inability to bend forward or walk. During the balance/treatment my body opened up quite quickly and the pain gradually dissolved. Half way through the session I was already able to turn over without any pain and by the end of the process I was able to walk again, pain-free. Apart from the physical treatment, she also provided me with some sound nutritional advice to further stabilise and strengthen my body. What a great achievement during a short period of time! What an amazing knowledge we can use to help others and ourselves! I can hardly wait to study in my Shinden course to further develop my skills.

I used to suffer from a sharp and strong hip pain. The origin of the pain was unknown, could be an old sport injury or inappropriate posture.

I have never heard about Amatsu before but I had my trust in my practitioner and also received a full description from her. I am familiar with other complementary treatments but one of my first questions was that, Do I need to believe in it? the therapist said ,No you don’t need to, you will feel the result. And she was right. During the treatment I experienced a very gentle and soft technique which didn’t cause me any pain or uncomfortable feeling.....I could easily fall asleep. She made a general health check from head to toe and started to work on the weak parts. After the treatments I felt a bit tired and the pain was a bit more intense but it only lasts a few hours. A couple of treatments with my therapist and the pain completely disappeared. I can only recommend Amatsu for everyone who wants to get rid of pain and health problems the easiest and the most comfortable way!

I had an old injury to my left shoulder, which gave me constant migraines, I had three sessions of Amatsu with my practitioner and I have been pain free since, and the range of mobility in my shoulder has increased significantly. I had previously been to see physiotherapists, chiropractors and doctors, but nothing worked.

I highly recommend Amatsu as a therapy, and my therapist is a wonderful practitioner, she is very supportive and caring.
